Supply & Installation

  • 1. HOW DO I MEASURE MY WINDOWS AND DOORS?

Our recommendation is that you get a licensed tradesperson to measure your windows and doors to ensure that all products fit correctly.

  • 2. DO YOU OFFER COMMERCIAL ALUMINIUM WINDOWS & DOORS?

Whilst we offer a range of commercial grade products which we use in residential applications, we don't offer commercial aluminium windows and doors for applications such as offices or shop fronts, supply or installation.

  • 3. WHAT IS THE LEAD-TIME?

The current lead time for supply and installation of your aluminium doors and/ or windows can be confirmed during your free in-home consultation and quote. When you are ready to place an order, we will arrange with you a convenient date for both check measure and installation. If you require your order by a particular date, please let us know. We are occasionally able to find spaces in our production schedule.

  • 4. DOES THE QUOTATION INCLUDE FLYSCREENS AND KEYLOCKS?

Yes it does. All aluminium window quotes include flyscreens, with the exception of Bi-fold and Gas Strut windows. All windows include keylocks with the exception of louvre windows where a keylock is an option. Flyscreens, security screens and other options are available on all of our aluminium windows and doors. Please ask us about specific requirements.

  • 5. DO YOU INCLUDE NEW TIMBER ARCHITRAVES ON THE INSIDE?

Yes. If you are going to stain them they are supplied in maple. If you are going to paint them they are supplied pine pre-coated. We do not paint or stain the architraves.

  • 6. DO YOU CLEAN UP?

We remove and dispose of the old windows and doors. We also sweep or vacuum the floor. You may need to clean the windows or doors once the installation is complete.

  • 7. Do I have to take time off work during the installation process?

This is entirely up to the individual, you are more than welcome to go to work or stay at home and watch the craftsmen at work.

  • 8. What happens if it's raining on the day of my installation?

This all depends on the magnitude of the rain and the combination of the wind also. In light drizzle as long as the Select installer has an area under cover to work, the job can continue. In the event that the rain is of concern and the job cannot take place, the Select installer will notify you first thing in the morning if the rain has been ongoing for a few days the night before.

  • 9. Do flyscreens come standard on my windows and doors?

Flyscreens are up to the individual and if you don’t require them you will not be quoted for them as set out in our not included requirements. Flyscreens can also be ordered at a later stage if you decide in the future that you have changed your mind. The only product that requires a separate screen adaptor is a stacking door that needs to be stipulated prior to production.

  • 10. What do I need to do once my installation is completed?

The only thing left to do and this only applies if you have timber windows, timber reveal linings or architraves, is paint.

  • 11. WHY CHOOSE TIMBER WINDOWS AND DOORS?

Timber adds warmth, texture and tactility to a home and works perfectly with a wide range of styles from timeless classic renovations to even the most contemporary new builds. Timber's natural insulating properties make it one of the most energy efficient window and door frame available, ensuring year-round comfort.

  • 12. WHAT TIMBER SPECIES DOES TREND OFFER?

The Botanica timber series features a unified design and size range and is available in either cedar or meranti. Botanica is constructed from engineered timber to minimise the effects of sun and moisture on the product over time and both cedar and meranti are sustainably sourced, with a traceable chain of custody.
